Description:
The syllabus for this course is that of the New Zealand Qualifications Authority. The starting level is fifth form physics. The course is written in 10 assignments, with one on units and energy, four on mechanics, and five on physics, including sound and acoustics.

Assessment is by assignments (80%) and laboratory course (20%).

Prerequisite(s): 1019 Science. A pass in School Certificate science is also acceptable or fifth form levels in physics and chemistry.
